Chocolate Chip Pie Chocolate Chip Pie ![]() Prep Time:20 Min Cook Time:1 Hr Ready In:1 Hr 20 Min Yield 1 nine inch pie Ingredients 2 eggs 1/2 cup white sugar 1/2 cup packed brown sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 cup butter 1/2 cup all-purpose flour 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips 1 cup chopped walnuts 1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch single crust pie Directions Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Beat eggs until frothy, add sugars and vanilla. Melt butter or margarine, and add to sugar and egg mixture. Stir in flour until well blended. Mix in walnuts and chocolate chips. Chocolate Mousse Chocolate Mousse ![]() Prep Time:20 Min Ready In:20 Min 6 Servings Ingredients 3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips 3 tablespoons water 3 egg yolk, lightly beaten 1 tablespoon and 1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract 1-1/2 cups whipping cream 3 tablespoons sugar Whipped cream Directions (This recipe's Ingredients were scaled to yield a new amount. The directions below still refer to the original recipe yield of 2 servings.) In a small heavy saucepan, melt chocolate chips with water over low heat; stir until smooth. Stir a small amount of hot chocolate mixture into egg yolk; Return all to the pan, stirring constantly. Cook and stir for 2 minutes or until slightly thickened. Remove from the heat; stir in vanilla. Cool, stirring several times. In a mixing bowl, beat whipping cream until it begins to thicken. Add sugar; beat until soft peaks form. Fold in cooled chocolate mixture. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Garnish with whipped cream if desired. -End- Since we have to refrigerate it for at least 2 hours, we can watch the dvd while waiting for it to cool.
